Exploring more of MoonEssence

A while back I purchased the Gentle Green Tea Cleanser by Moon Essence.  I was so pleased with it that I was inspired to select some different products from the line to try.  This time around I went for the Clarifying Cleanser and the Contour Under Eye Treatment.

I chose the Clarifying Cleanser based on all the fabulous reviews I had heard about it from co-workers around the office.  I must say…I was not disappointed!  The consistency reminds me of lotion which takes a little getting used to, but not quite as thick.  This is due to the fact that MoonEssence only uses the purest ingredients and doesn’t add chemicals to produce the suds that most facial cleansers do.

My favorite part about this cleanser is that my skin feels really soft and clear.  I didn’t start with “problem skin”, but I can totally see a difference in the smoothness ad clarity of my face.  Yay!  It is my understanding this cleanser was developed with acne in mind and I have heard a ton of fabulous feedback from people who struggle with that issue.  The only downside in my opinion is this products smells just like Pepto-Bismol, considering how fabulous the results are…I can deal!

Next onto the Contour Under Eye Treatment

I selected this product because in the last year or so I am really starting to notice fine lines around and under my eyes.  I also have a tendency towards dry skin, so I am constantly on the hunt for something that is ultra-moisturizing, but not greasy.

I really liked the fact that this product is a gel, it feels clean and soothing going on.  It also absorbs quickly which is a huge bonus because I don’t have to wait to apply makeup.  I will say that for me personally it wasn’t quite moisturizing enough.  I do think this would be a FABULOUS product for someone with normal to oily skin or possibly even someone in their 20”s that needs a little something, but isn’t ready to go full blown anti-aging yet.

Matte Glamour…Nails of fury!

One of the newest additions to our fabulous arsenal of products is Layla Nails  from Italy.  They take experimenting with nail polish to a whole other level.  I have to be totally honest; at first I was actually turned off by the concept of some of their products.  This in part is due to my own limitations.  I have always used a super shiny to coat no matter what decoration has been done on my nails.  I have done this for 2 reasons in particular.  The first being that I expect the nail polish to stay on longer without chipping.  The second is that I feel like a manicure doesn’t look complete unless you can see your reflection in it.

Well, now I have to eat my words and take it all back.  I tested out their Soft Touch Nail Polish in the color Noir Touch which is really just black, but with a fancy name.  I’m pretty simple when it comes to nail colors, so black is my standard go-to, but this also comes in 12 super cool shades.  I was really pleased with the application process.

The brush is a nice shape to work with, the polish goes on smooth and dries quickly.  What is particularly cool about this product is that it doesn’t just dry with a matte finish, but it’s almost soft to the touch.  It’s a bit hard to describe without actually feeling it.  The one thing that I was a bit concerned about is how well it would last without my trusty top coat.  I am pleased to report that it hasn’t chipped or flaked at all in 4 days!  The color is rich and has stayed on beautifully.

The color and quality are not the only things that make the Layla Polishes totally awesome.  They are also:
