Dr. Barbara Custer

Dr. Custer was recognized as one of the top Alternative Medical Doctors in the San Francisco Bay area. She has a private practice in Mill Valley, California, and teaches nationally and internationally at Health Spa’s. Dr. Custer is passionate about educating people in nutrition, natural supplements, and how to make healthy eating a fun way of life. All of which can help prevent and reverse disease and restore the body to optimum health.

Dr. Custer enjoys keeping physically fit by doing outdoor sports and weight lifting. She is currently writing a book about the medicinal properties of flowers, fruits, spices and herbs. Her book will be published by Spring 2012.

Dr. Barbara Custer, O.M.D combines natural and western medical techniques. To effectively do this she uses Western Medical testing, nutritional programs, Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. She obtained her Doctorate in Oriental Medicine from Samra University in Santa Barbara, California. She also received her BFA in fine arts and is a graduate of North American College of Acupuncture, Vancouver Canada. She completed a clinical internship with Master Tamura Heiji in Kyoto Japan. While in Japan she also attended graduate classes at the Meiji School of Oriental Medicine. Dr. Custer has done extensive training in Endocrinology with Doctor Thomas Alexander M.D. at the Renton Clinic, Renton Washington. Dr. Custer holds a California State and National license.

Jorge A Castellanos

At the age of 13 Jorge Castellanos discovered his passion for hairdressing while cutting and coloring everybody’s hair in his Mexican neighborhood.  At the age of 18 he turned his passion into a full time career and opened his first hair salon.

Jorge emigrated to the United States at the age of 21 and to further refine his artistic skills he joined a glass blowing company in Berkeley, California.  For twelve years he created beautiful glass products.

In 1992 Jorge continued his hairdressing career and studied at the San Rafael Beauty Academy where he was also a beauty teacher for four years.  In 2002 he joined an elite hairdressing team at Brewer Phillips Hair Design in San Rafael, California.

The salon is a state of the art hair salon.  Jorge is a highly trained and sought after stylist working with every client to create a custom style and color that suits their lifestyle and personality, whether it be conservative or off-the-charts crazy!

As seen above Jorge is not only a talented hairdresser!  His creative and artistic skills range from making his own clothes to being a dancer and pop singer.  He is singing at different locations in San Rafael.

Susan Ingram

Susan Ingram’s love for the African sun (where she lives) and her dual interests in health and the environment led her to research the benefits of natural and organic sunscreen products. She is focusing on sun protection because of her love of the outdoors and the fact that she lost both her brother and cousin to melanoma at a very early age.

Susan is working with five independent laboratories, three biochemists, and a research team to refine her sunscreen products and offer people the best advice and education about sun protection.

She and her team are manufacturing Sunumbra, free of chemical sunscreens using zinc oxide together with plant extracts. It offers protection against both UVA and UVB radiation. Previous lack of UVA protection in sunscreens has been highlighted in recent years as a primary cause of skin cancer.

Manuel Mendoza

Manuel Mendoza was born in San Miguel Allende, Mexico and emigrated to the United States in 1989.  In San Francisco he studied at the Zenzi’s Cosmetology College where received his Aesthetics License.  Manuel’s artistic skills motivated him to get his make-up certification at the Academy of Aesthetics in Hollywood, California.  He started working for Chanel as a make-up artist.

Fourteen years ago he joined Face Magic Skin Care Salon in Albany, California and is working with Lynne Williams at their clinic.  Manuel specializes in acne solutions, pigmentation, anti-aging as well as advanced eye brow design.  He is a problem solver and with his skills, skincare knowledge and lovely personality he turns challenges into happy endings.  One of the most enjoyable things for Manual is to see his clients leave with a smile and equipped with knowledge to prevent future skincare problems.

Manuel and his business partner, Lynne Williams enjoy educating clients about skincare.  They are very popular not only because of their excellent service but because they really care about people.  They are working towards healing the planet, one face at a time.

Manuel is a person with many talents!  With his good drawing and painting skills he is creating beautiful artwork.  He is also a song writer and musician. He is writing pop and gospel music and he is a member of the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir
